37 weeks and onward, getting ready for the final stretch! This late pregnancy formula, inspired by Sun Simiao’s Dan Shen Wan as well as several Shang Han Za Bing Lun formulae, strongly encourages the outward movement of the East, fanning ministerial fire in the jueyin uterus realm so as to prepare it for birth and promote effective contractions. It supports blood  and the shaoyin pivot; this is done by assisting yang submersion, as well as relieving the North of any fluid accumulation (which is common in late pregnancy as a mother's yang qi is often spent by then, a most common cause of post-dates and difficult labors). It is thus a great way to nourish the mother before the birth, and everything the postpartum period entails.
