New clinic opening March 7th!
Dear Patients and Friends of Between Heaven & Earth,
It is with great joy that I am writing to announce the opening of my new clinic at 2144 4th Street, Suite A, San Rafael CA 94901!
As many of you know, during the pandemic I have been practicing from my home office. Despite this shrinkage in space, my work has considerably expanded during this time, in the realm of practice as well as in the realm of teaching other practitioners the Huo Shen Pai (Fire Spirit School) herbal method, which is the lineage I am part of.
Against the hardship of having a much smaller office, I was able to continue care for many of you, first via telehealth and then returning in person carefully; I had the opportunity to treat several hundred covid patients (and long covid), and the herbs have proved extremely helpful; and finally, I expanded my continuing education activities into designing and teaching several year-long curricula on the theme of the Chinese herbal medicine classics, as well as obstetrics. These programs became accredited by the California State Acupuncture Board, the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Medicine, the British Council of Acupuncturists, and the New Zealand Register of Acupuncturists. This year in addition to teaching my regular programs, I will also be teaching at conferences in New York and Melbourne, Australia. It is such a joy and honor to pass on this wonderful medicine to others!
The one thing that has been missing is a proper space to welcome all of you, and now we have one! The new clinic is bright and happy, and will have a wonderful herb room at its center, 3 treatment rooms and a teaching room so I can also teach clinical rounds to students. I am looking forward to continuing your treatment there for those of you I have seen recently, and hopefully to see you again if we haven’t seen each other in a while.
This transition is obviously a big feat, and even an act of faith, given the hardships of covid.
