For the time when baby should start to go head down, 30 weeks and onward. A breech baby’s yang vertex can need encouragement to reach the mother’s yin perineum. This formula encourages the downward descent of yang into yin with the xuan fu hua method so yang and yin can unite in shaoyin, in general (strengthening the shaoyin pivot, blood and qi) as well as in particular (baby-mother dyad).
As what goes up must eventually go down, this formula employs the outward effusion of the Major Warming the Dawn decoction, and combines acrid and sweet to generate yang, and sour and sweet to generate yin, combined with the xuan fu hua method to encourage the downward dynamic of yang.
