In order to help those experiencing financial hardship get treatment, we maintain a small private fund so as to subsidize the cost of giving discounts or, in extreme cases, free treatments. We will eventually make the jump to non profit status, but for now the organizational costs of doing that outweigh the good we can do with the same money.
